The acquisition expands Sodexo’s portfolio of facilities management operations in Australia and reinforces the global company’s strategy to pursue growth opportunities around the world.

Sodexo and Morris share a 50-year history, a local presence in Australia, a commitment to community engagement and a vision to offer exceptional service, making the partnership a natural fit.

Together both businesses offer a total solution to facilities management for clients in the energy and resources sectors including accommodation systems and camp design, administrative services, airport and security management, waste management, catering services, sport and cultural activities, wellness and motivational programs and more.

More than 98 percent of Morris employees accepted offers of employment with Sodexo and will be welcomed into the Sodexo team to continue growing the business. The transition includes Morris’ client contracts and the ownership of Collinsville Village in Queensland.

Sodexo will be undertaking a full and careful assessment of current operations to identify opportunities where integration would deliver long-term benefits to the business, clients and consumers, employees and local communities. The immediate and ongoing priority for Sodexo and Morris is to ensure that the increased workforce remains safe and high quality operations are maintained across all sites.
