Supporting People with Disabilities

With 1 in 5 Australians living with disability, we remain dedicated to recruit, engage, develop and support employees with visible or invisible disabilities, helping them reach their full potential.

Sodexo is committed to creating inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities by increasing accessibility and eliminating potential barriers to employment. As an active member of the International Labor Organisation’s Global Business and Disability Network for promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities, Sodexo is committed to challenging biases and working together as a collective to drive change on a global scale.

We partner with specialised employment agencies in Australia to identify roles and support candidates with disability into pathways to sustainable long-term employment.

Through awareness initiatives, e-learning on mental health, and partnerships like The Valuable 500, we advocate for full participation and equity, ensuring that our workplaces and services are accessible and welcoming to everyone.

Back then I don’t think I realised that disability doesn’t define you or limit your capabilities to participate in work or the community. There are many opportunities here at Sodexo for those who have visible or invisible disabilities

Invisible Disabilities

It is essential to recognise that disability doesn't look the same for everybody. There are many non-visible disabilities that others may not pick up on.

Since 2017, we’ve broadened our focus to include “invisible disabilities” as part of our commitment to zero harm in the workplace, increasing awareness and support of mental health conditions and neurodiversity.
