Supporting People with Disabilities
With 1 in 5 Australians living with disability, we remain dedicated to recruit, engage, develop and support employees with visible or invisible disabilities, helping them reach their full potential.
Our global commitment is that 100% of our workforce will have access to initiatives supporting the inclusion of people with disabilities, including a non-discrimination policy about people with disabilities, communications to support people with disabilities and a disability champion.
Our global Disability Voice Advisory Board guides inclusion policy and drives education across multiple aspects of disabilities, advocating for self-identification and celebrating international celebrations in the people with disabilities community.
Of those impacted by disability, 70% have non-apparent or invisible disabilities, since 2014, we have broadened the awareness of persons with disabilities to include “invisible disabilities” as part of our commitment to zero harm in the workplace.
Managers are crucial players in disability inclusiveness at Sodexo. In preparing for the workforce of tomorrow, we recognise being disability-inclusive will become increasingly important to the optimal operation of Sodexo. In supporting our employees with disabilities, we must rigorously uphold the relative legal compliance regulations in the countries we operate, such as the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
