Reconciliation 

As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, Sodexo Australia is committed to upholding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. We deeply respect and value the Traditional Owner groups on whose lands we operate, and we are dedicated to fostering respectful and meaningful relationships with Indigenous Australians. Our approach is grounded in listening, learning, and working collaboratively to meet community priorities and aspirations. We are committed to providing culturally and socially appropriate solutions that reflect the profound depth of knowledge held by Indigenous communities. Together, we strive for a reconciled Australia and a future of mutual respect and understanding.

Sodexo believes in a reconciled Australia and has been on a reconciliation journey for more than X years, guided by our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Sodexo’s sixth RAP has extended our commitment to quality-of-life improvement by providing a roadmap to inspire and realise greater potentials, making a real and measurable difference to Indigenous Australian communities. Providing refugees with their first opportunity is the least we can do to improve their livelihoods and help them become part of their host community. Sodexo was the first food service company to join the Tent Partnership for Refugees in 2018. By offering job opportunities to refugees, Sodexo is supporting refugees as they integrate into their host communities and become self-sufficient.
