International Women's Day (IWD) is traditionally a day dedicated to the celebration of the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

Celebrated each 8 March worldwide, IWD is the opportunity to showcase the great work we are doing with our gender balance commitments.

SheWorks LogoLaunched on the occasion of the 2019 International Women’s Day, SheWorks aims at connecting women in the community, especially those in vulnerable situations, with Sodexo employees in a one-day program to learn about Sodexo’s business and job opportunities. We are looking to once again make a difference where it matters: on the ground in our kitchens, offices and FM sites this year!

“We have heard many touching stories from women, especially those in vulnerable situations, who have discovered new career paths thanks to their one-day job-shadowing experience alongside Sodexo staff members. It reminds me that placing people at the heart of all we do is the only way to make our world more inclusive.” - Margot Slattery, Sodexo Global Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer

“We are committed to making a positive impact in local communities. With our job shadowing program, SheWorks, Sodexo is active right there in the communities where we operate. It gives the women who participate an opportunity to challenge themselves, changing their perspective and step out of their comfort zone." Patrick Sochnikoff, Chairman, Central Europe, Sodexo

Results from last year’s SheWorks Program: 500 people engaged in 20 countries!
