Roebourne Community Garden Comes Alive
Roebourne's first Community Garden is launching, with Sodexo Australia and Stop Hunger contributing $120,000 over three years to boost food security. The community-led garden will supply fresh produce to the local supermarket and serve as a collaborative hub for workshops and cultural gatherings. The garden is a living symbol of the community shaping its own future and a direct response to Elders' vision for place-based healing. It also highlights the essential role of women in the fight against hunger in vulnerable communities.
