New partnership tackles food insecurity across Western Australia through recycling efforts at Pilbara mine villages
Foodbank WA and Sodexo Australia have partnered to tackle food insecurity and improve recycling outcomes across Western Australia. The initiative will fund vital food relief programs through the Containers for Change recycling scheme in Pilbara mining villages. By 2030, the partnership aims to recycle 2.5 million containers and help deliver the equivalent of 300,000 meals to communities in need. The project supports regional and remote communities facing rising living costs, housing pressures and food insecurity. Working alongside local organisations, the partnership combines environmental sustainability with meaningful community impact.
