Her initial desire to shift careers stemmed from a need for personal growth, and she saw Sodexo as a platform to fulfill both her professional aspirations and her commitment to health and wellness. “I truly believe that well-being should be a priority for everyone, especially those working in challenging environments,” she adds.

A Passionate Beginning 

Millie's career at Sodexo began in 2023 when she embraced the role of Health and Wellness Manager for the Rio Tinto Iron Ore contract. With a strong background in high-performance sports, Millie entered the company with a unique perspective, blending her passion for health and wellness with innovative strategic thinking. “Joining Sodexo felt like a perfect match for my ambitions,” she shares. “It provided an opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives through wellness initiatives.”

Millie’s journey is defined by her commitment to equity and inclusivity. As a strong advocate for creating an environment where the best person is chosen for the job, regardless of gender, she has made it her mission to foster a workplace that empowers all employees. “Everyone deserves equal opportunities,” she asserts. “It’s essential to foster an environment where talent can flourish without any barriers.”

“I believe that while everyone should have access to a good education, it is not a prerequisite for success or for being given opportunities. Many people without formal education can still achieve their goals. Ultimately, attitude and work ethic are what really matter. By creating environments where everyone has a fair chance, we can build a more equal society that enables everyone to reach their aspirations," she emphasised. 

This focus on inclusivity is reflected in her daily interactions and initiatives at Sodexo. Millie believes that when women have equal access to opportunities, they can excel in leadership roles, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more vibrant workplace.

As Millie reflects on her journey at Sodexo, she expresses gratitude for the personal and professional growth she has experienced over the years. “Moving to a new city and taking on this role was a significant leap for me, but it validated my decision,” she shares. “Every day, I’m inspired by the incredible women I work with and the opportunities we create together.” Her determination to make a difference in the lives of others drives her forward, motivating her to inspire both her peers and future leaders.
