When Sodexo Australia assumed responsibility for food service delivery in 2011, the existing service model relied on an institutional service style that, while functional, lacked significant consumer appeal.
Over the past 18 months, Sodexo has worked with NSW Police Academy to redevelop and reposition the service, adopting a ‘high street’ café style in both menu and service approach.
It was clear to us that the customers at the NSW Police Academy required more than just meeting their nutritional requirements. They also desired a service that provided ambience and style.
The new service at the Academy, relaunched as a contemporary café promotes and values ambience and atmosphere and has succeeded in encouraging increased patronage and raised the level of customer satisfaction.
