Sodexo announces changes to leadership roles for Australian operations

Australia, 04 February 2018 – Sodexo, the world leader in Quality of Life services, today announced the appointment of Mark Chalmers, Sodexo Australia’s current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as the Country President and CFO for Sodexo Australia, effective 1st February.

Mark Chalmers joined Sodexo in August 2012, and brings more than 30 years’ of leadership experience across multiple industries including facilities management and pharmaceuticals. In his role as Country President and CFO, Mark will be responsible for driving corporate governance and strategic directorial responsibility for all of Sodexo’s operations across Australia with its team of over 5,000 employees.

To remain truly committed to its goal of client centricity, Nick O’Callaghan, who was previously Country President will now focus on the Corporate Services and Education segments for Australia. Nick has spent his career managing facilities across a multitude of sectors, most recently with Sodexo since 2007.

Sodexo is also pleased to welcome Paul Cooper as the CEO of Mining for the Asia Pacific region; replacing Paul Bean who has moved into the role of CEO, Mining Worldwide since late 2017. Before joining Sodexo, Paul Cooper was Executive General Manager, Industrial Maintenance with Programmed. He had also held previous roles in energy engineering services industries, including stints with KBR and UGL. Paul will lead his team to focus on providing innovative integrated services to improve the Quality of Life proposition of its clients and consumers in the Mining sector.
