LASA 2016 : Sodexo highlights future trends for aged care in Australia

September 27, 2016

Brisbane, 20 September 2016 – Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life services, will be exhibiting and pre-senting at the 2016 LASA National Congress taking place at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre from 9-12 October.

LASA 2016 : Sodexo highlights future trends for aged care in Australia

Sodexo will be sharing the latest research highlighting the future of aged care services including the transformational key trends shaping the resident experience, as well as the use of technology and changes in consumer retail behaviours.

The LASA National Congress digital presentation titled “The New Normal: Trends Re-writing the Future of the Resident Experience”, will be delivered by  Colin King, Global Head of Business Development, Sodexo Seniors, building upon his article of the same topic published in the latest edition of LASA Fusion magazine.

In Australia, Sodexo provides services to over 100 sites in the seniors sector providing the opportunity to implement services in line with the new emerging trends, including the “experience economy”.

Colin King, Sodexo Global Head of Business Development & Sales, said:  “The presentation will cover the holistic quality of the resident experience. As consumers start to define quality in ways that change ageing paradigms and focus on quality of life, the services and experiences that support consumer needs as they age will need to change accordingly.  Key trends shaping the resident experience will be addressed, including use of technology and changes in consumer retail behaviours. The demographic bubble of the ageing baby boomers guarantees a demand for choice and flexibility.  At the same time, efficient provider operations will be required to sustain a successful business.”

LASA (Leading Age Services Australia) is the national peak body representing all age service providers. It is the only industry peak body acting on behalf of private sector and not-for-profit providers delivering retirement living, home care and residential aged care services.
